Student Leaders

In 2007 Cobram Primary School adopted a new system for our student leadership profiles. Rather than having School Captains and Vice Captains we adopted a program that has 8 Student Leaders per semester.
These students are elected by their peers, after having made an application to the senior school teachers and then making a presentation to the student body.
The roles and responsibilities of these students leaders may encompass:

  • Representing the school at official functions, such as ANZAC Day, and Cobram Community Events.
  • Supporting the school's lunchtime activities program.
  • Taking a key role in School Assemblies, held every Monday morning.
  • Ensuring the school sign is always up to date - advertising up coming events.
  • Participating in all school activities - to ensure good role modelling to all students.
  • Acting as peer mediators in the school grounds.
  • And more!

In 2009 our first semester leaders are:
Back Row: Caitlin Elder, Josh Bruni, Callum Lissington, Alana Cormican
Front Row: Abbey Hoolahan, Phillip Creighton, Taneeka Corso, Drew Tozer.
